As a poor, raggedy kid from the blazing heat of Malaysia, I most certainly am not trained nor educated in the arts of winter. And yet, in spite of:
- Many hours of freezing weather
- Many falls (literally butthurt)
- Many struggles
- Many embarrassments
- Much flailing
- Those darn kids – DON’T YOU DARE LOOK AT ME, HOW ‘BOUT I STICK YOU IN KL HUH? HUH??
I can say that I’ve finally achieved an acceptable level of skill wherein I can manage to not fall and not die, while skiing or skating. I’ve gotten the hang of it!
Of the two, I prefer skiing. Adrenaline junkies would love the sensation of speeding down a mountainside. Am I an adrenaline junkie? Likely. That’s not to say I wouldn’t take a lady out ice skating. Am I a romantic? Likely, too.
